We’re happy to announce the latest addition to ServerMania’s range of data center locations: a brand-new facility in the heart of the beautiful city of Amsterdam, Netherlands. The new facility – ServerMania’s fifth – represents a 20% increase in ServerMania’s data center capacity and is our first location outside of North America.

At launch of our Amsterdam Data Center, we’ll be bringing managed services, dedicated servers, and hybrid servers to the Amsterdam location, soon to be followed by ServerMania’s public and private cloud hosting platforms. All the services hosted in Amsterdam are covered by the ServerMania Service Level Agreement, which guarantees quality service, fast customer support, a 100% Network Uptime Guarantee, and more.

Many of our customers from the gaming and web security industries – among others – have asked us to provide the same great hosting services from a European location. We already offer great connectivity to Europe from our existing North American facilities, but sometimes closer is better and we’re committed to helping our customers grow when, how, and where they need to.

Demand for our hosting products is ever increasing – it’s only been eight months since we added a new facility in Montreal, Canada. To support our expanding customer base, we need to regularly add new facilities. It seemed like the perfect opportunity to give our customers what they were asking for: ServerMania in Europe.

Why Amsterdam? After surveying the options, we decided that Amsterdam has the right combination of connectivity, location, and facilities to be the ideal choice for our first European facility. From Amsterdam, the world’s largest internet hub, we can provide low latency high-bandwidth connectivity to the rest of Europe, the UK, and to our North American facilities in Canada and the US.

The new facility is located in a Tier 3 data center with access to a wide range of bandwidth providers and fast fiber connections throughout Europe.

Amsterdam, Canada, And Privacy.

Privacy concerns are increasingly important to both corporations and consumers: privacy regimes like Canada’s PIPEDA provide reassurance that data is stored according to strict privacy regulations.

Canada’s privacy laws are compatible with EU privacy laws, which means the data of European citizens can be safely stored in Canada without breaching EU privacy laws – something that’s not quite so clear-cut where US data centers are concerned.

With the addition of the new Amsterdam facility, ServerMania customers now benefit from being able to use a range of server hosting solutions in both North American and European data centers operating under similar and compatible privacy regimes.

Any data that can be hosted in our Amsterdam facility under EU privacy laws can also be hosted in our Montreal facility under Canadian privacy laws.
